Lara Taubner is a local landscape and wildlife artist. Drawn to the Tetons for decades, she returns several times a year to capture their dramatic light, rugged forms, and ever‑changing moods. As a seasoned plein air painter, she embraces the magic and immediacy of painting outdoors.

Through her workshops, Lara invites participants to immerse themselves fully in the landscape of Grand Teton National Park. She encourages painters to slow down, observe deeply, and experience the joy of creating art in the open air. Her goal is for students to leave not only with stronger skills, but with a renewed connection to the natural world—and perhaps a lasting love for plein air painting.
